Client: American Writers Museum opened in Chicago in 2017 as a place to engage the public in celebrating American writers and explore their influence on our history, identity, culture, and daily lives.
Client challenge: Develop a logo and identity for their inaugural event, American Writers Festival, which featured more than 70 authors, poets, and playwrights celebrating the written word.
Our approach: We selected a handwritten typeface for the event logo that complemented the clean lines of the brand font and developed an undulating pattern of oversized punctuation marks. The colorful shapes created a bold backdrop for the event’s printed and digital pieces.
