PROFESSIONAL LEARNING CATALOGS
Clients: Ingenuity is a national leader in arts data collection and mapping, and partners with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for a collective guide of tools, resources, and learning opportunities to improve quality arts experiences for students.
Client challenge: Create a 60+ page catalog of instructional courses and events that are offered each school year for CPS arts professionals, teachers, and administrators.

2017–2018 SCHOOL YEAR: SPHERE OF INFLUENCE
Our approach: The catalog utilized the shape of the cover graphic throughout its interior graphics and color blocks. Abstract shapes emerged as if the wheel rolled through the catalog pages and left a memory of progress and forward motion.
2018–2019 SCHOOL YEAR: CULTIVATING CONDITIONS FOR GROWTH
Our approach: Hexagon graphics, which are prevalent in nature and are symbols of harmony, balance, union, and perfection, were used throughout the catalog to emphasize the theme of growth.
2019–2020 SCHOOL YEAR: AMPLIFYING ESSENTIAL VOICES
Our approach: Ingenuity and CPS Department of Arts Education shared the same priority to design and deliver learning that was highly responsive to the goals, schedules, and interests of arts professionals, teachers, and administrators. These educators were encouraged to ask questions, and the resulting real-time feedback helped improve course offerings.
We designed and delivered a catalog to address the questions and concerns and present the courses offered each school year. A speech bubble graphic was used to convey an ongoing conversation in a “You Asked, We Answered” format.
